Economic Contributions of West Coast Florida Seafood Industry and Marine Recreational Fishing, 2006-17
The economic contributions of marine recreational fishing include economic activities generated from marine fishing trips and expenditures on fishing-related durable equipment. The three marine recreational fishing modes include charter boats-for-hire, private boats, and shore fishing. The recent natural, technological, and man-made disasters and presently the global pandemic had severe impacts on the MARINE RECREATIONAL FISHING activities in the Gulf of Mexico states. This presentation shows the economic contributions of the marine recreational fishing industry from 2006 to 2017.

The economic contributions of the seafood industry include economic activities generated from commercial fishing, seafood processing, seafood wholesaling, seafood importing, seafood and fish markets and seafood restaurants. The ENTIRE SEAFOOD INDUSTRY in the Gulf of Mexico states suffered a lot from recent natural, technological, and man-made disasters and presently the global pandemic.
